Since our origins as a residential construction company, we have always known that attention to the needs of the customer is the key to a successful project and satisfied client. The company culture at J.M. Serpa Construction has always been one that develops effective communication skills among our employees and a belief that the customer must be included in and happy with the construction process. J.M Serpa Construction is committed to making the process a positive one by being responsive to your needs and working with you to help realize your goals.

Getting Started:

We begin by discussing your needs and vision for your new project. We listen carefully to your ideas and explore possible options within budget considerations. We’ll share with you a bit about us and give you some perspective on how we work. In the end we both have a working idea of your goals, budget, and time line.

Project Development

Among the services we provide during project development:

• Produce conceptual drawings.
• Work with local building officials to verify code compliant documents.
• Assist with any planning or zoning approvals if necessary.
• Work with you and your lender to provide information necessary to obtain financial assistance.
• Finalize plans and draft a scope of work (project description).
• Feasibility Analysis: consider possible economies, construction feasibility, availability of materials & labor, time requirements, etc.
• Value Engineering: provide recommendations on cost effective construction methods, etc.
• Budgeting/Estimating
• Site selection
• Detailed project scheduling
